LEADING RETAILER REQUIRES A BUTCHERY BUYER IN NORTH RAND REQUIREMENTS: Matric certificate A butchery related qualification or adequate experience Excellent butchery technical skills Minimum five years' experience in Butchery management Excellent training, coaching and presentation skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Capable of designing the layout for a butchery and sourcing equipment In depth understanding of the meat trade and current market conditions (haccp has) Financial business acumen In depth understanding of specific market needs Experience knowledge of feed lotting, abattoir wholesale processing Computer literate DUTIES: Develop excellent ‘value adding' consulting relationship with our retailers Provide retailers specialist advice on all matter relating to butchery including layout, display, new lines, drop shipment suppliers, new products, promotions, production planning, value added lines, staffing and best practices. Evaluate and assess butchery staff training needs and conduct in-house training. Conduct hygiene and safety inspections with each visit to the Retailers Suppliers Keep up to date with current legislation effecting safety and hygiene
